Dr. Lynne Carr Columbus, a Board Certified Pain Management physician, believes that no on should live with pain. Although, one out of every three Americans lives with discomfort from an injury, arthritis, or cancer, they do not have to resign themselves to chronic pain. Currently the president of Gulf Coast Pain Management, a multidisciplinary pain center in Palm Harbor, Dr. Columbus attended Vanderbilt University for her undergraduate training and obtained her Doctor or Osteopathic Medicine at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She did her residency training in anesthesiology and Pain Management Specialist. According to Dr. Columbus, the first step in pain management is obtaining the proper diagnosis. Only then can a customized treatment plain be developed. Utilizing innovative procedures, Dr. Columbus will coordinate your pain treatment with your primary care physician or specialist. Recently, Dr. Columbus was nominated for the 16th Annual Florida Medical Business News Golden Stethoscope Awards in the category of Best Women's Practice. She has been featured in the Wall Street Journal and Physicians Practice Magazine. Dr. Columbus has been a great lecture for many prestigious organizations, such as Harvard Medical School. She had made numerous guest appearances on local new programs regarding pain-related topics. She is also very active with many charitable organizations in the community including Hospice of the Florida Suncoast and St. Cecelia School.
