SPHENOPALATINE BLOCK

You have just received a sphenopalatine block. The physician placed a strong anesthetic at the group of nerve fibers located in the back of your nose to help relieve your facial pain or headaches.

The pattern of pain relief varies with each individual. You may experience immediate pain relief or relief within 12 hours. You may experience temporary dizziness after the procedure. Please record the type and duration of pain control you experience in your pain journal.
