Take Shape for Life

An easy, effective way to lose weight

Are you feeling overweight, tired, or simply unhealthy? Have you tried to lose weight and failed?

You are not alone. Millions of Americans are caught in an obesigenic world that is plagued with fast food options around every corner, poor eating habits, a general lack of activity, high stress environments, insufficient sleep, and a "sick-care" health system. In this unsupportive environment, it is no wonder that two-thirds of adult Americans are overweight, and the predicted health of future generations is even more uncertain.

Take Shape For Life offers a simple solution: high-quality, medically formulated meal replacements combined with free coaching support to help you lose weight and keep it off. It is not a diet, but a two-phased approach for weight loss and maintenance.

Research Opportunities

New Pain Management Study Opportunity

GCPM is currently taking part in a study, which we hope interests you. This study is looking at whether or not an investigational medication is safe and effective in treating both moderate to severe chronic low back pain and constipation. If you decide to participate, your participation in the study will last for approximately 5 months.

If you are interested in taking part in this study, the first step is to notify us during your next visit or by email to info@gulfcoastpain.com . We will then check to see if you are eligible. If you are eligible, the details of the study will be explained to you and you can decide if you wish to take part in the study.

If you decide to join this study, you will be asked to stop taking your current opioid medication. Instead, you will receive the investigational medication (a combination of oxycodone and a medication called naloxone), oxycodone alone, or placebo (which looks the same as the investigational medication but contains no actual medication). You will have a one in three chance of receiving the investigational medication. You will be asked to take the medication twice a day. You will need to complete a Patient Study Diary every day with information about your bowel movements, pain levels, and use of medications.

You may be able to participate in this study if you:

*are 18 years of age or older
* are taking prescription pain medication for moderate to severe chronic
  low back pain
* have ever experienced symptoms of constipation

To learn more about taking part in this study, please contact me or a member of the study team. Taking part in this study could help further our knowledge of the investigational medication and its use in treating moderate to severe chronic low back pain and constipation caused by prescription pain medication. This information may benefit other people in the future.

Thank you for your interest in this research.
